1. The short version

Docaza stores your documents and reminds you before they expire. Your documents belong to you. The AI that reads them is helpful but not infallible, so you confirm every field, and Docaza is a convenience — not a guarantee that you'll never miss a deadline. Using the app means you accept the terms below.

2. What Docaza is

Docaza ("the app") is a personal document vault operated by Altic LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). It lets you scan documents, uses AI to extract details such as expiry dates for your review, organises them into categories, and sends you reminders before those dates.

3. Who can use it

You need to be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live. Docaza is for personal use. It is not designed for, or sold as, a business records system or a regulated recordkeeping tool.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens under your account. Turn on the app lock if other people use your phone. Tell us promptly at support@alticllc.com if you think someone else has access.

5. Your documents stay yours

You keep all rights to the documents and information you put into Docaza. We don't claim ownership of them.

You give us only the narrow permission we need to run the service for you: to store your documents, to transmit them to our AI provider for extraction at the moment you scan one, to display them back to you, and to generate your reminders. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your documents or their contents to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

You confirm that you have the right to store the documents you upload.

6. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• upload content that's illegal, or that you have no right to hold;
• use Docaza to store other people's documents without their permission;
• try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass limits in the service, including the document limit on the free plan;
• use automated tools to bulk-upload content, or resell access to the app;
• interfere with anyone else's use of the service.

7. About the AI extraction

Docaza uses AI to read your documents. It's good, and it will still be wrong sometimes — dates get misread, especially on blurry photos, unusual layouts, or handwriting.

That's why the app shows you everything it extracted before saving, and flags low-confidence fields as Please verify. You are responsible for checking the details are right. We don't warrant that extracted information is accurate or complete.

8. About the reminders

Reminders depend on things outside our control: your device settings, notification permissions, battery optimisation, operating-system changes, and network availability. They also depend on the expiry date being correct in the first place.

Treat Docaza as a helpful backstop, not your only system of record. We are not responsible for a missed renewal, a lapsed policy, an expired document, or any cost that follows from a reminder that didn't arrive or arrived with the wrong date. Keep your original documents.

9. Plans, billing and cancellation

• Free: up to 10 stored documents, with every feature included. No payment details required.
• Unlimited: $1 per month for unlimited stored documents.

Unlimited is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through your app store (Google Play or the Apple App Store). It renews each period until you cancel. Payment, renewal, price changes and refunds are handled by that store under its own terms — we never see or store your payment details.

To cancel, use your app store's subscription settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Unlimited until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are at the store's discretion under its refund policy, and we can't issue them on the store's behalf.

If your subscription ends while you're storing more than 10 documents, your documents are not deleted — you'll be able to view and remove them, but not add new ones until you're back under the free limit or subscribe again.

If we ever change the price, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel before it takes effect.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Docaza running and reliable, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages at our providers, and app-store or operating-system changes can all interrupt it.

We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue the service altogether, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your documents first.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Docaza at any time and delete your account from inside the app, which erases your documents and data as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we're required to by law. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we'll contact you first and give you a chance to put it right.

12. Disclaimer

Docaza is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free, that extraction will be accurate, or that every reminder will be delivered.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or losses arising from a missed expiry date or renewal.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$20.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware will have jurisdiction over any dispute.

That doesn't take away rights you already have where you live: if the consumer protection law of your own country or state gives you the right to bring a claim locally, or gives you protections that can't be signed away, those still apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Docaza after that means you accept the new terms.
